Pediatric medical devices: Safety & protection by innovation & development
Friday, 16th November 2018 in Lübeck
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen and Colleagues,
In December 2016, a symposium on Pediatric medical devices was held in Lübeck for the first time in Germany and Europe. The response was very positive and constructive. Therefore, this kick-off event can be regarded as the starting point for a multilateral dialogue and the formation of a community of interest.
At our 2nd symposium, to which we would like to cordially invite you, individual representatives from all involved groups, including clinicians in paediatric medicine, engineers from R&D, representatives of industry and responsible authorities, will report on their experiences in the development and application of medical products for children and adolescents. In particular, the path of the idea from clinical need to development and the path of the medical device from development to clinic will be highlighted.
In addition to the podium presentations, there will also be focused talks on individual topics in which small groups will be able to discuss and exchange information in greater detail. We will also provide a forum for submitting own contributions in order to present and discuss ideas, projects and experiences.
We hope that our 2nd symposium will see clinicians, R&D engineers and representatives of industry and public authorities meeting again for a stimulating exchange.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck at the BioMedTec Science Campus in the autumn of 2018.
